I heard from members before that they were able to get mung bean flour (same as green bean flour) at the States. Try Asian stores and some online stores and see.......If the one you got is not coloured, use pandan paste/ essence to colour it. Hope this helps.
i am in denver and i can get hoen kwe flour - the same type of packing like in malaysia. look for the white ones as there are colored ones. i could get mung bean flour in a 1lb pack and it is made in thailand.
Thanks for all the advices.. I have seen Thai's Mung Bean Flour and will try that out. I am in New Hampshire and rarely see a Malaysian soul at all. Glad to know that you gals are all out there corresponding with me in respect of this "makan" talk!!
hi there, this is my first post though i have been surfing this wonderfully informative board and admiring all the food pics for almost 1 year now.. I was wondering if green bean powder is the same as green bean flour? I tried to make the pandan kaya layer cake over the weekend but the filling/topping looks spotted and does not look nice and glossy like the cakes in the pictures or what i have eaten before. Wonder what went wrong...
